Description:
This elegant sampler showcases six bands of bold original composite patterns that suggest flowers Listor trellises to support the theme of the gardening verse in the middle section. The sampler is a good learning piece for the intermediate level canvas embroiderer who wants to stretch. The open patterns fit the bands with a minimum of compensation, and all of the sequences used have been manipulated to automatically conceal the traveling paths. Some patterns have blackwork and/or couching accents, and the dark canvas recommended creates dramatic negative spaces that further enhance the patterning.
