Course Description:
Happy Hedgie is definitely the center of attention in this portrait.  Her prickly back side is interpreted in an unusual shaded layered blackwork pattern with several fillers.  The rest of the body has appropriate smooth solid fillings, and the figure is surrounded by a soft cream background pattern and a colorful 8-step border that echoes the interior colors, including the strawberry treat in her hand.

Prework: The outlines for the hedgehog should be placed - estimated 2-3 hours
